Update July
We made a big update in Figma Motion plugin. Here are the main features.
Export
The main update part is about export. Export has a new overlay window with tooltips. The rendering proccess updated a lot. Firstly, Motion renders frames and uploads them to our server. After that, it is rendered to the final format.
Background rendering
Before update, during the second part you was not able to continue using Motion, but these two proccesses are not connected. Now, the result is rendering in the background. So, you can continue to use Motion. The file will be downloaded automatically.
Download later
We store your result file for 30 minutes (and will increase the period in time). You can download it later from the right panel, no matter you don’t want to save it now, pressed Escape button or closed Motion.
Video
You have a lot of variants of frame rate now.
Sprite
You can now choose sprite direction now horizontal or vertical.
Frames
No more skips in frames.
Missed last frames
Motion skipped sometimes last frame depending on fps and animation duration. It is fixed now.
Tabs
If you have a lot of animations in one file, it was difficult sometimes to get selected animation because of tabs scroll. Animations tabs are scrolling now to the selected one.
Performance
We improved once again animation opening performance. It works up to 8x times faster.
