Update September

Here are some important changes made this month

First of all, thank you all for writing to me thanks and bugs. I try to add features and fix bugs as fast as I can. Let’s start.

Fixed bugs

I fixed a big amount of small bugs in UI and export this month and speeded up copying and moving keyframes. There were some bugs in copying paths too. Also, I have fixed the blinking effect in export mp4.

Export had some bugs. It is a very hard bugs to find and fix. They can appear according to a lot of conditions. One of them is your internet connection. I released some fixes for that, so it is not so connection dependent now.

New features

Updated UI

I refreshed Motion UI. So, it is now more clear and more fresh. It shows you a working area with a white color and a selected time range with a pink one.

Instant easing

Don’t miss. The old easing Steps (Immediate) changed its name to Instant like Figma has in Prototype.

Path reverse

Path now has a Reverse path option. Sometimes you need to animate objects along the path in a reverse direction. Now, you can do it.

Layers list

Layers list now always shows all layers with animations no matter if you selected any layer or not.

Properties groups

Now, you can show and hide properties groups from the main menu.

Stop on close

You can turn on/off this option now. Motion stopped your animation every time you close it. Now, you can control it by yourself.

Exported file name

Exported file now has exported frame name. It is very usefull if you have a lot of animated frames in one animation.

Export frame selector

Now, you can see the new frame selector while export if you have multiple animated frames in one animation. More than that, if you select one of your animated frames on canvas it will be automatically selected in the list on export.

Presets

It is a huge update for Motion. It is that feature which every animation plugin or application has from start. But Motion didn’t have it since today. About 100 presets for your animation are now available in Library. Check this article to learn more.
